The Colorado National Guard Foundation was established as a result of the Gulf War in 1991. Many Guard members experienced financial hardship due to their deployment. The Foundation gives interest-free loans and grants to soldiers and airmen of the Colorado Army or Air National Guard who are in need of emergency financial assistance.
