Jazz at the Mansion

The Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association teams up with the Highlands Ranch Mansion to bring Lannie Garrett to Highlands Ranch. The historic Highlands Ranch Mansion provides the perfect backdrop for a jazz performance as well as the proper atmosphere for a casual, comfortable event in the great hall. The performance will be indoors. In April, 2016, Lannie was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame along with such illustrious big band artists as Glenn Miller and Paul Whitman. Join us for Jazz at the Mansion featuring Lannie Garrett performing her Great Women of Song show! Wednesday, August 29 ~ Doors Open: 5:30 p.m. ~ *Cash Bar and light appetizers will be available. ~ Show: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. ~ Great Women of Song: From Billie to Bette! A tribute to great female singers. Performed by: Lannie Garrett and her Errand Boys of Rhythm "As a musical revue it's a blend of satisfying favorites and interesting historical material. Garrett never fails to sell the song." - Bob Bows, Theater Critic Denver Lannie and her Errand Boys of Rhythm Quintet, pay tribute to some of the female singers who have touched our hearts and lives over the years. Together they perform a collection of songs made famous by singers ranging from Billie Holiday to Bette Midler, with stops along the way to pay homage to Dusty Springfield, Bonnie Raitt, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and many others. The show mixes songs and stories about the singers and Lannie's always present sense of humor and flair for showmanship, the songs range from poignant to funny. This show is sure to entertain audiences of all ages! (show is 21+). Tickets are $40 in advance; $45 at the door, if not sold out.
