Join us for our next MVP (Members who Value Philanthropy) event at Perry's Steakhouse! This quarterly event is a great happy hour gathering to connect with other business professionals and learn about a non-profit in the community.
No charge to attend. Appetizers sponsored by Perry's Steakhouse, cash bar.
This month, we are highlighting Jeremiah's Hope. Jeremiah's Hope was created to provide:
(1) the opportunity for medical professionals to perform short term missionary work,
(2) provide medical care to the poor of Cambodia,
(3) assist with medical education.
Jeremiah’s Hope was founded in 2000 by Dr. Mark Sheehan of South Denver Cardiology. Jeremiah’s Hope started going to Cambodia in 2000, and by 2006, they had established a relationship with Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh. As part of the ongoing relationship with Calmette, a different medical specialty group (e.g., cardiology team, OB/GYN team, ENT team, etc.) travels to Cambodia every other month.
Jeremiah’s Hope has sent over 100 teams to Cambodia. They have their own facility, which includes an outpatient clinic with about 10-15 beds, 2 operating rooms, and a fully functioning office where we see patients on a regular basis. Dozens of doctors from Highlands Ranch have gone on trips to Cambodia.
Members who Value Philanthropy is open to members and guests. Pre-registration is requested.
