Mile High Academy’s Kindergarten Class has been working on their Real World Learning Project. The classroom’s driving question is “How can we show respect while learning the United States symbols?”
This project is student led. We have learned a number of different symbols, including The Statue of Liberty and the United States flag. We have spent time discussing our 5 Military Branches and understanding who are our US veterans.
In honor of Veterans Day, our Kindergarten class will travel to Littleton Cemetery to place the American Flag on each of the graves of those who bravely fought for our country.
Our students are learning the importance of respect and service in this project. We are excited to grow our minds and open up new ideas while learning about our beautiful country.
