Monthly Chamber Luncheon - April 2015
Please join us as John Kauffman presents an Overview of the Centennial Water and Sanitation District. The topics of John’s discussion will include a review of service area, population, and water demands and a review of water supply and storage portfolio and conjunctive use. He will also look at rate comparisons, and an overview of water reclamation and reuse. He will also discuss major on-going regional water projects – WISE and Chatfield Reallocation and review of water efficiency and conservation initiatives.
John Kaufman is the General Manager of the Centennial Water and Sanitation District which serves all of Highlands Ranch and portions of northern Douglas County. John is a member of the Metro Round Table, which is a participant in the State Water Plan, a Board Member of the South Metro Water Supply Authority representing the Highlands Ranch community and a Board Member of East Cherry Creek Valley Water & Sanitation District for 13 years in Arapahoe County. He attended that University of Kansas (BA Geology); Missouri University of Science and Technology (aka: Missouri School of Mines -- MS Geological Engineering) and practiced the field of water resources and water rights for more than 35 years in consulting and the mining industry in Colorado and many other western states; and, is an expert in the field of ground-water hydrology and hydraulics.
